Is it possible to erase your character in the game Second Life?

I was wondering if I can erase my current character in the game Second Life.? Because, I've made a complete big mistake on changing her appearance, and she now looks like Susan Boyle? I want to start over again and register again and stuff, but I don't know how, I don't even know if it's possible. So please let me know :)
