My dogs attachment to me...?

I have a two year old pom. She follows me everywhere, sleeps at the foot of my bed blah blah blah...and i'm fine with that the problem is she wont do anything unless i'm there. She wont go outside with anyone but me she wont eat unless i'm home. I've noticed that when i come home she rushes to her water bowl as if she hasn't had a drink all day. I'm afraid to leave home for any period of time because she does not eat when i leave she just sits at the door and howls. I'm not really sure how to handle it. Shes to a point where i can't even close the bathroom door while i take a shower because you just wails...what do i do about this?
