BOSTON vs SEATTLE which is the better city?

I know boston has more history that it wins off the bat. Which city has better food, mens shopping (i'm a guy who likes to shop) and which is more amiable and more enticing/ scenic or impressive of a city? I've heard about the rain of seattle and the cold of the new england winter if that is dumbed down form the picture which city is superior?
